“Tommy, there’s no point in setting a vision for 2021 because the world is too chaotic, crazy, intense —and full of uncertainties.”
Cool story and that’s how you wind up spewing political vitriol —and joining social media “networks” of conspiratorial echo chambers.
Here’s the reality:
There has never been a better time to have a vision.
There has never been a better time to deepen belief.
There has never been a better time to harness clarity.
Because anytime there is external “chaos”:
We need internal peace.
We need internal clarity.
We need internal certainty.
Otherwise, you combine chaos with chaos and you get what we’re seeing from people today.
On a long enough timeline this creates hopelessness, loss of agency —and aimlessly drifting through life.
So, what’s a better way?
Craft a specific vision for 2021.
This is not the time to live in vague generalities, but rather, to take radical ownership and paint a clear, specific future.
Determine your “Big 3” priorities.
Reverse engineer the above with the three priorities for the first quarter of 2021 —and delete the noise.
Adapt to a “new” normal.
Business was disrupted by at least five years with our crisis —stop waiting for things to go back to “normal” and adapt.
As my mentor Dr. John Demartini once told me:
If you don’t fill your day with high priorities, it will automatically become filled with low priorities.
Was 2020 hard, intense and emotionally challenging?
But without a compass, without a horizon, without things that matter to us —2021 will be worse.
We need you to step up —this is why we do the work.
Otherwise, what’s the point?
