Must be nice.

Yeah, that I risked it all and bet on myself.

Must be nice.

Yeah, that I stayed in every Saturday night.

Must be nice.

Yeah, that I worked seven days a week.

Must be nice.

Yeah, that I took a hard look in the mirror.

Must be nice.

Yeah, that I woke up at 4:15 every morning.

Must be nice.

Yeah, that I made gut-wrenching decisions.

Must be nice.

Yeah, that I listened to my intuition relentlessly.

Must be nice.

Yeah, that I did the work when no one cared.

Must be nice.

Yeah, that I took a goddamn chance in the dark.

Must be nice.

Yeah, that I stopped watching Netflix on the couch.

Must be nice.

Yeah, that I invested tens of thousands of dollars.

Must be nice.

Yeah, that I stepped away from society’s expectations.

So, yeah —it must be nice that every time you poured yourself a cold cocktail at 5PM:

I was in the process.
I was in the intensity.
I was in the battlefield.
I was in the resistance.
I was in the self-doubt.
I was in the inner game.
I was in the total unknown.

And I did that work day after day when you were partying, escaping —and planning vacations to get away from your real life.

But remember —everything costs something:

  • A thriving life tomorrow costs something today.
  • A regretful life tomorrow costs something today.

And so when you tell me it “must be nice” —you’re right.

It’s heart-thumping, soul-moving, alive-in-every-way nice.

Because I did it.

Will you?
