Buy their damn book.
Buy their damn album.
Buy their damn prints.

Here’s the deal:

If you listen to podcasts, stream someone’s music, listen to free talks, double-tap their photography —go and buy whatever they’re selling.

(Even if you don’t ‘use’ it.)

Why?

Because these people are working their tails off to give you and I something we are valuing with our time, energy and attention.

But it’s not enough —we need to pay for it.

Here’s the problem:

Because it’s free, we feel entitled.
Because it’s free, we feel deserving.
Because it’s free, we feel ownership.

But it’s not free —because these people have put in the work for years to deliver something of value:

They put in their time.
They put in their money.
They put in their passion.
They put in their expertise.
They put in their creativity.
They put in their resources.

And there has never been a more important time to support creators who are doing the work.

The reality is:

  • That podcast you consume freely costs thousands of dollars.
  • That ‘free’ art you consume freely costs thousands of dollars.
  • That recording you consume freely costs thousands of dollars.

Because guess what?

All the ‘stuff’ you consume has been created by someone who was getting started or struggling to make it work.

And they need our help.

Support artists, writers, thought leaders, business owners, independent shops, art galleries, live music venues, and creators.

Buy their damn work.
